Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007I’m trying to keep a level head about the commutation of Scooter Libby’s jail sentence. Doesn’t seem fair to me. But I guess it’s Libby’s former boss, not Libby himself, who should be in jail.

TheCherryOrchard.org is a non-partisan critique of contemporary politics, news and history. The site was founded by Levi Asher in July 2006.
The site is named for Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, a hilarious and bitter play about a magnificent house filled with foolish people. During the last years of Tsarist rule, this noble family is facing poverty and ruin due to a financial downturn, but nobody in the house knows how to begin to deal with the problem (save a friendly former servant, who is utterly ignored). Chekhov's brilliant satire ends with the noise of cutting crews destroying the famous cherry orchard that surrounds the estate.
