Abortion ... not that old chestnut again....

It would be interesting, novel even, to have this discussion without bringing religious or political affiliation into the conversation, since they really do nothing but obfuscate the real arguments. I don't see that happening anytime soon since it seems to be a convenient rallying cry for those who want to continue that style of debate.

Also, bombs are awesome.

I can’t imagine Steyn’s report on the Montreal massacre. Is this something we should be teaching in our schools, a lesson perhaps. As for McCain, your friend Gump said ‘stupid is as stupid does.’ I think that’s generally applicable. No doubt includes me.

Abortion and gun control are big time ‘shy away from’ issues. But I’ll say something outrageous instead. We don’t treat animals with the same respect we want human animals to have. We incessantly fuck with their reproductivity. Neuter yer pet, says Bob Barker everyday. Or...we can clone them. Or artificially inseminate them. Aborting unborn humans is a by-product of fucking with animal reproductivity. Like Bill said, we do so because we can.

But it’s strictly a female issue. I don’t want the League of Women Voters deciding if and when vasectomy should be mandatory or outlawed. Nor do I want men deciding what a female should do with what’s in her womb.

As for guns, we need a definitive Second Amendment. The current one is worthy of interpretation by Forrest Gump.
