I've no beef with Hillary Clinton either. .. The political ad which aped "1984" was tasteless and also aped ads I saw about Kerry in '04. Apparently, an Obama political operative was fired over independently posting the ad.

I just heard about it on NPR last week. Democrats typically have somw infighting before the primary as do republicans. Life is full of suprises as usual. It is still too early for me to decide which DEMOCRAT to vote for.

As much as I admire the senator from Arizona, I would not vote for him because he helped Bush get re-elected. Now, Bill Richardson, the governor from New Mexico is another story. I really see some strong points to choose Richardson. I am also a fan of Edwards, from NC.

To me, it is a choice between Hillary, Edwards and Richardson. Obama has become too shrill a voice for me.

Cal, it sounds from your description like Hillary is a "moderate" on Iraq. I agree with you that this isn't a satisfying position, and this is one reason I'm not supporting her for President. But, "1984"? Sure, it's funny ... but I'm still not seeing a totalitarian in Hillary Clinton. The best political statements say things that are true. This one is just funny.

Ron, I will check out your campaign site and see what you have to say ...

With all due respect: You are simply plain wrong on this one. Hillary is in favor of *permanent* US military bases in Iraq. Hillary supported, then half-way decided not to completely support, the troop surge. While Hillary does occasionally offer up some bland tripe about her opposition to the policies and practices of the Bush Administration, she rarely voices her intention either to refrain from or end those practices should she be elected. Her voting record is close enough to supporting the majority of the administration's post-9/11 policies and actions that she is, in my highly informed opinion, about the closest thing the Democrats have to a "Bush Lite." There is no "lie," and there is nothing "dishonest," about the mashup video: it is political rhetoric, highly charged, and defiantly biased. It is propaganda, likely designed not as much to explain her as to draw the differences (many of them imagined) between Obama Baraka and Hillary Clinton.
